Behaviour Consultation
Is this the right service?
Behaviour consultations involve assessment of more complex behavioural problems including, but not limited to:
-
Animal-human aggression,
-
Animal-Animal aggression,

Separation-related problems
-
Fears or phobias
-
Repetitive behaviours
-
Vocalisations, Destruction and chewing

Please note: As behaviour problems are normally well-practiced before a behaviourist is called, treatment is not a 'quick fix'. Behaviour modification can take time and requires all family members to be consistent.

What do I need to do in order to book?
In order to book a behaviour consultation, a veterinary referral is required, a referral form can be downloaded from the 'Contact/Refer' page . This is needed for several reasons:
-
Many behaviour issues can occur as a result of medical issues or require dual management from a behaviourist and vet
-
By working closely with your veterinarian, we are encouraging higher standards within the behaviour field
-
If you wish to claim on insurance, your insurer will likely require this.

You will also need to fill in a pre-consultation questionnaire. This, along with the medical history from your veterinarian will allow your case to be adequately planned for prior to the first session.

Booking is conducted via email, so please use the contact page to get in touch.
